Lunar Calendar Cannabis and the Moon
Growing Cannabis Outdoor with the Lunar Calendar 2022
Farming based on the phases of the moon is an ancient practice and many gardeners that grow cannabis outdoors by the lunar calendar produce healthier, more productive and robust plants. There are four basic phases of the lunar cycle:
Lunar Calendar | Waxing Quarter
When the moon is waxing this is the time when the rays of the moon increase their strength and the best time to germinate your seeds is toward the end of this phase on the first day of the full moon when these stronger rays pull moisture to the surface of the ground. If you are in the Northern hemisphere when you look to the sky you will see the shape of the moon is of a 'D' (and in the southern hemisphere the shape of a 'C').
Lunar Calendar | Full Moon
During this phase you will notice a higher growth rate, the rays of the moon are at their brightest which is why it is considered to be the best time to germinate and transplant. The moon at this time will influence root growth and you will notice a fuller foliage, stronger stem, branches and colas.
Lunar Calendar | Waning Quarter
The moon's rays are less brighter during this stage the gravitational pull decreases slightly and the sap is generated toward the lower stem of the plant. In the Northern hemisphere during this phase the moon will be the shape of a 'C' (and the shape of a 'D' in the Southern hemisphere).
Lunar Calendar | New Moon
When the moon is dark the plants are resting this is an ideal time for pruning. Harvesting is also done around this time.
